Ephrata School Board assaults and insults property owners with 3 percent tax increase this week

The small purple and gold ‘Don’t Raise Taxes’ signs did not work. Maybe they should have been bigger. Maybe the should have been planted by the hundreds in School Board members’ lawns. By a simple majority, and having neither compassion for people in difficult economic times nor a will for financial austerity, the Ephrata (PA) School Board raised taxes in the school district 3 percent in a vote this week.
