Caninas: where the talking dog, Sir John Xavier meets the human, Arec Thorne:

Sir John was an old, but nimble cur. But don’t let him know that I called his grace by such a vulgar term. He would be greatly offended and quickly point out that he was the purest of his breed. Yet, at times, he had a contemptible and snarling disposition particularly with the ignorant and uncouth members of his species as well as others including humans. (He made an exception in my case of course.) And he would certainly not suffer a coward or miserly canine. No, he was Sir John Xavier of Foggy Bottom duly knighted and conferred by King Rex XIV, Lord Protector of the Ancient and Noble Realm of Caninas.
