I’ve updated my latest and greatest chili recipe. If you like your chili savory, spicy, and with better than average heat, you’re gonna love this revised addition.

I’ve integrated Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce for extra heat and a wonderful aromatic smoky flavor.

The chipotle peppers can be found in the ethnic or specialty section of your favorite grocer. All it takes is one pepper, about a tablespoon, minced and mixed with tomato paste to add savory flavor to the chili. If you want to add more, then go for it. You will not be disappointed if you love savory and spicy chili.

Tuna Steak marinadeThis week one local grocery store was offering 4oz tuna steaks for a mere $2.00.  They’re trimmed and fresh frozen, making them a good value. Since I haven’t had tuna in a very long time, I bought several portions.

All I need now is a good marinade and a hot grill. Both I have. But as to the former, I wanted something new. Something spicy and savory, easy and full of flavor.

Here’s what I came up with.

I found an interesting recipe for chili with beans in, of all places, a calender from Classic Rock magazine. The use of tomato paste, parsley, and spices other than a quick dose of straight generic chili powder was appealing. After several experiments with this recipe, I came up with the following.
