
Jos, Nigeria (CNN) — A string of bombs struck churches in five Nigerian cities Sunday, leaving dozens dead and wounded on the holiday, authorities and witnesses said.
The blasts mark the second holiday season that bombs have hit Christian houses of worship in the west African nation. In a statement issued late Sunday, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan called the bombings “a dastardly act that must attract the rebuke of all peace-loving Nigerians.”

Well they did it. The coalition of the incompetent, the Ephrata Borough Manager, Bob Thompson, and the Borough Council, by a 6-2 vote, are raising your property taxes. Why? Because they couldn’t make the tough choices to balance the Borough budget. Once more, property owners in Ephrata bear the burden of their poor leadership and management.
Additionally, Thompson blamed the method by which taxes are collected by the County to explain the problem. When all else fails, blames somebody else: typical of a politician or a government bureaucrat.

The disturbed and economically challenged Ephrata borough council is seeking to raise taxes on property owners. These political animals seem unable to control their power mad lust for money.
We’ve elected them to keep our town’s financial house in order, but they are unable to do so. The council appears unwilling to balance the budget, cut spending, or reduce the salaries of the overpaid borough workers. Once more, as is the case on both the federal, state, and county level, the average American worker and taxpayer is screwed.
