Ephrata Linear ParkIt was another fine morning for a walk, and I was just finishing up three miles ending at the Borough’s Linear Trail. In perfect irony, I was on the section passing behind the Police Station when a Borough worker nearly ran me over with his utility truck.

Showing now responsibility or courtesy, this fellow did not signal his approach in any way. He was on top of me before I knew it. The only thing that tipped me off was the approaching shadow from East. Thankfully, this fool did slow down, and I was not injured. Nevertheless, the Borough worker still gave me his stupid smug smile.

I strongly urge you to take care on the Ephrata’s Linear Trail, especially Mondays through Fridays between 7 and 9am. You might end up missing a foot. Possibly a warning should be put on the current signs: ‘Watch Out for Reckless Borough Workers.’ Just a heads up for you.
